I don't usually watch action movies, or spy movies, or anything that simply looks to realistic... that's why I accepted to watch Zero Dark Thirty!
Summarizing: Zero Dark Thirty is a movie about X-Files own Dana Scully's daughter - played by an overly serious Jessica Chastain - chasing Osama Bin Laden right in Pakistan and, surprise surprise: finding him. I hope I didn't spoil anything this time... what? you didn't you know that Osama was killed?... Ooops.
Anyway, regardless of the flood of comments and declarations from outraged journalists and enthusiastic critics I can say I really liked ZDT and I recommend watching it if like me you like good scripts and also a clever use of environmental sounds and soundtrack. There isn't much action in the movie, except for the last thirty minutes, which are though intense and very heartfelt, something Kathryn Bigelow has mastered with sound effects and a clever use of digital modeling.
The story of the attack to OBL's compound is indeed quite interesting and mysterious: the movie confirms the mission wasn't to capture but to kill whoever was in the house and so causing the outrage of the entire international and also U.S. community that would have wanted to see the U.S. government capable of capturing and processing Osama Bin Laden in front of an international court. If like me you're very keen to learn about history through incomplete and not 100% backed-up fiction, please please go see this movie.
