Duffle coat in the world

I love duffle coats, they have a special elegance and also wearability that is difficult to find in the same coat. While growing up in Italy I learned that the name of this kind of coats is Montgomery, or at least this is the way they are called in the boot-shaped country I am from.

This coat has though several different names in different languages and each of those names has an interesting background that I'd like to share here.

Language: Italian
Name: Montgomery
Reason: The coat became popular as worn by British General Bernard Law Montgomery.

Language: English, French, German
Name: Duffle coat
Reason: Duffle is a town in the province of Antwerp (Belgium) where the wool material originates from.

I'd love to know if other names of the same coat have more interesting etymology.
