Refocusing

Is blogging a reverse function of self-focus? Or is it maybe the contrary?

It's hard to answer this question but as far as I am concerned I find it very hard to write on this blog if I don't have a commitment to it. the results of the February challenge were astounding (in terms of visit) of course not of AdSense returns, but they have soon faded away as fresh content is vital lymph for a blog. The problem now is that I am turning from a cognitive science, psicology and design focused person to a more techy person.

Is this bad?

Hard to tell so soon, but certainly if I started to write on this blog what I have been thinking about lately the type of readers might change. My last post was in fact about Codeacademy: a great website. I started off the JavaScript fundamentals track and I am at 45% completion. Boy it's a long learning track!

Most of the challenges and explanations are really good except sometime the instructor felt a little too smart and skipped to explain something quite small that for a novice like me means the difference between a smooth exercise completion and 15 minutes of terror and despair featuring self loathing and Shakespearean dilemmas. I really hope I am going to be able to learn JavaScript, also because I subscribed to a 10 weeks course in web development that's going to be tough as well. Summarising: I have been busy lately and I realize I need to create opportunities to write more often.

So here is a resolution, I'll post twice a week. Once during the week, like this Monday post and once during the week-end. I do not know what's going to be the subject of such post.

The future only can tell.

Oh yeah!
What about focusing on some particular subjects in order to "offer" your readers a service via your blog. In other words, learning about your first steps in the tech field would be interesting not just for friends but also for the ones who are doing (or are going to do) the same. That'd be helpul and funny for sure (the adventures of a psicology/design girl in techland) :)
What do you think?
