Why is Jesse Garson not updating his great website page: http://www.phui.com/type/ anymore?
I don't know really, because this was truly a great initiative: analysing and awarding the best animated movie credits. I must say, the art of title helps as well but I wanted to make my very own list of favourite opening credits, and although the list is partial and I couldn't find a YouTube video of the opening titles of the King's speech here we go with my favourites.
I know Star Wars is not so great, but hey reading about a "Galaxy far far away" always gives me a thrill...

I really liked the "Contact" one :)

Completely different but remarkable are the ones of Man On the Moon of Milos Forman: we have to see it, before or after. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L9RtSw943A
I think the one from "Le conseguenze dell'amore" is pretty original and makes clear from the beginning the waiting-for-something-to-happen spirit of the whole movie

One I really enjoy to watch again from time to time is Ghost World's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VB4q9rcfvvE
I never saw "Le conseguenze dell'amore" but I must do!
